Dear Futuristas,
I am desparately seeking for help.
For long-range Elliot-Wave analysis', I defined some continuous futures in MotiveWave (/NQ, / ES, /CL, ...) that are provided by dxFeed as instruments.
Compared to the continuous futures that I can get calculated within MotiveWave, those from dxFeed reach much further into the past, allowing to count all major Elliot-Waves more correctly.
Right after having defined those new instruments, and adding those to a watchlist they start updating in real-time, and I can apply various studies and draw the long term Elliot-Waves into the charts for the continuos futures.
Unfortunately, all of those dxFeed-provided continuous futures stop updating their charts and the live-data in the watchlist, once I closed and re-opened the MotiveWave application on my Mac. And, when I clear the local data, nothing gets re-loaded at all - just a blank chart. All other instrumenrts work perfectly, including future front contracts, MotiveWave calculated continuous futures, stocks, ETFs, etc.
I use IB (my broker) as connection No 1, supported by dxFeed as connection No 2 (to offload my IB connection and pull data for those continuous futures).
Since January 2026, I have re-installed MotiveWave more than 20 (!!!) times from scratch, testing out literally all possible combinations for feeding data from both IB and dxFeed.
This included defining everything from scratch within MotiveWave to avoid any possible carry-over of buggy data from an old backup.
Whenever, I define a new workspace and define those futures from scratch, they start updating for a while - just to stop again!
Nothing could solve the issue so far - response from MotiveWave support still pending
Any idea how to get this solved would be highly appreciated.
