Hi
I'm trying to get a chart to print daily candles showing only RTH session. I cant get it to work. It works on lower time frames but not on daily bars.
"Show extended data" is ticked of, RTH session is specified in instrument setting, but still the bars are showing full session range.

My Friday session range is:
Open: 4295
High: 4304,25
Low: 4243,50
Close: 4244,50

But it should be
Open: 4296,50
High: 4302,25
Low: 4247,25
Close: 4248,50

What am I doing wrong?

Not sure if you have CQG or Rithmic as a data feed - If so showing just a RTH daily bar is not possible with them.

See this older post

Is this still an issue? I'm only on community edition with very limited data, but this seems to give me RTH daily bars for ES (just spot checked a few days and seems to work ok). Can anyone with a paid license and data confirm?

Here's the steps to reproduce:

Configure --> Preferences --> Trading Hours
1) Click the + sign to create a new custom trading hours session
2) Name it whatever you want, I called mine 'RTH - Indices'
3) Go to the 'Hours' tab and set timezone to America/New York, set Days to Monday to Friday, make sure Extended is not selected, Set Regular time as 9:30 to 16:00.
4) Go to 'Intraday Bars' tab and deselect 'Use Defaults, Set Method to Daily. set Start Time to 9:30
5) Save and clear local cache (MW may prompt you to do this now or when you configure your chart)

Go to your ES Chart and select your custom Trading Hours
Edit Instrument:

1) Go to the Advanced tab and select the Trading Hours you just created (ie. RTH - Indices)
2) If required, Deselect 'Supports Extended Data' and 'Show Extended Data'
3) Go to Intraday Bars tab, if required Deselect 'Use Defaults', change Method to Daily, change Start Time to 9:30
4) click OK and clear local cache (if MW prompts you to)

Finally, go to Chart Settings:
Bar Settings
--> Interval Type = 'Minute' and Interval = '390'

i hate these platforms, they are ridiculous. make a platform with the retail trader in mind, i think not. lets try and confuse everyone and give everyone different data sets

sorry about getting emotional there, i ran into some issues this week and has been killing my account.

question for you, on a 4 hour chart on MCL i would like them to open at 12am,4am,8am,12pm,4pm,8pm,12am.. but instead they are currently displaying 3am,7am,11am, then it jumps to 3pm.

i live in Vancouver if that makes a difference. I need this for equities, metals and energy 1744404926827.png

figured it out, just wanted to explain what i did incase i did something wrong and it will effect me later on down the road.

-i right clicked on the MCL chart went to EDIT INSTUMENT.
-Went to INTRADAY BARS
-De-selected USE DEFAULT and changed start time from 3pm to 8am(i selected 8am at Random, my first try at messing with settings) and my TIMEZONE was already America/Vancouver.
Then hit OK.

-went back to 4hour chart, and nothing changed, so i changed chart to 8 hour then back to 4 hour to refresh the page and viola.. bars now display correctly.
*My 4 hour candles start at 12am,4am,8am,12pm,4pm,8pm.
*My 8 hour candles start at 12am,8am,8pm.
