Pivot Points

Who knows where the letter P stands for in the study pivot points?, there are R and S those are simple, but what about P.... Could that be the pivot of the level, price?, and if so how important, or how to read, is that level, price?

P stands for a pivot. A typical calculation is P = (H + L + C) / 3
