I downloaded the app from the website, and was presented with the attached splash screen.

Is it correct that the most stable version 6 is actually EdgeProX and not Motivewave?

Could just be an error in the readme. If you downloaded it directly from Motivewave then it should install that and not EPX. On the offchance it does install EPX, it should work exactly the same. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that though.

The kind people at Motivewave confirmed exactly what you said. Many thanks!

Hi Merc!

Hope all is well. Just to chime in, what Skandiluz stated is correct regarding the Platform at its core being the same (The EdgeProX is just a White Label of MotiveWave software) and works the same. But they just have their own little tweak to it.

If I’m not mistaken the reason why you probably seeing that version of splash screen is because you’re maybe using EdgeProX License from EdgeClear? Instead of directly from MotiveWave itself.

I had this experience when I first started using MotiveWave platform. I originally was using the subscription from EdgeClear (EdgeProX) even though the actual platform download file was from MotiveWave website directly. But I later ended up Purchasing the Professional Edition from MotiveWave directly since this version is not offered by EdgeClear. And after updating the license in the system, the splash (EdgeProX) screen went away and replaced it with the Original splash screen from MotiveWave!

Many thanks for taking the time to write!

The good folks from the company explained that there's some kind of error with the ReadMe that triggered the splash. I never used EdgeProX.

In any case, I wanted to try version 6, since I've struggled with issues in the beta of version 7. But it was awful. Version 7 is miles ahead of 6; it's amazing. I couldn't even get version 6 to load a chart for some reason. I went right back to version 7. I'll make an effort to endure the glitches until they're ironed out.
