I'm a VWAP Bands mean reversion trader with a focus on ES/NQ. Since i'm running 3 platforms for comparison of different timeframes and studies/indicators, i've a good overview of the VWAP Band metrics on different pattforms. MotiveWave behaves "strange" when starting the software (PC/Win11/MW 7.0.21 and pre-versions) for showing correct values of VWAP Bands. The VWAP base is always correct, but bands need to be resetted first before showing real market values. By resetting i mean simply zoom in/out the charts one time, done. I think it has to do with the "RTH Data only" Settings, which i've set to "EXT Session" (strategy standart). It would have not grabbed my attention, if i had no the other plattforms to compare. Since doing so, i can therefore describe the issue. It seems not a big one, but it is real and always needs to be done to show correct values (zoom in/out the charts one time aka manual reset). If one does not do this procedure upfront, trading with incorrect VWAP Band values can be an issue. Screenshots can be provided.
