You know that you can by IB only have 100 connections at once. If I have loaded the s&p 500 in my watchlist all resources will be waste for refreshing the watchlist and through this I am not able to load the selected instrument from the watchlist to the chart because no free resources left. Stupid is that I am the refreshing of the watchlist not needed. I have only "symbol" and "description" as field in my wathchlist. What is there to refresh?
It is strong needed that the connection limit can be set. An interval limit for the connection limit is needed too. For example only use 30 connection at once and only call every 5 seconds(interval)
Smart will be too, if no fields for update set in the watchlist like symbol or description it will not refresh the watchlist because there is nothing to update.
