Auto-trading Strategies for SPX Futures

Hi,

Is anyone successfully trading futures, specially ES, using the MA Crossover strategy? I've been experimenting with settings and find they either overtrade or have slippage of a 2-3 points due to lagging indicator. My settings are very fast, 1 and 2-3, EMA, 200-400 ticks.

Any other strategies that work for scalping or day trading? There's surprisingly very little about this subject on the boards.

I don't know for how long you have been trading. But trading with all different sort of lagging indicators is probably were we all start with technical analysis.

Personally I have found it does not work in the long run, at least not for me. You need a wider understanding of the market to be successful. If it would be that easy as two line crossing every one could do it, and they say only 5% are profitable. Maybe for confluence, but not to base your trading of. That's my highly personal opinion, before every lagging indicator trader starts to roast me.
