Anyone having any real good success with any Motivewave strategies or indicators? I'm a beta tester for the strategy builder by trading indicators so I'd like to try out and back test any good strategies people are using... if you don't mind sharing your secrets.

Out of the box strategies are like generic drugs. It may or may not work for your specific asset. Pick the asset you like and try any of the available strategy to fine tune via optimization. I recommend to stick to a simple strategy, for example MA Cross, that you understand well how it is calculated. Otherwise you will be dealing with a "black box" concept that you put a complete trust.
Good luck!

cheers.

Hey Ronnie,

to be honest I don’t believe that anybody have real success with an easy „indicator-strategy”.

I’m am programming now for quite a while automatically tradingsystems for MetaTrader in MQL that’s were my opinion is comming from…

I think the only way to have real success with automated systems is to programm it by yourself…
but I see a big benefit for the strategy builder it will show each user that trading is not as easy as using a indicator.

If you are I Beta tester I expect you are in contact with the creator, it would be really a interesting question for them if they were been able to create a profitable strategy with there builder with an acceptable Risk/reward and at least for 5 years backtest…

Only my personal opinion…

Thanks for the replies guys. I agree Alex the best strategy is probably one that you tweaked yourself and fits whatever asset or stock you're trading. They have a view of their own indicators that you can now implement into the strategy builder. I will give them a try and get back to you at the back test results on them.

I'm also a beta tester -- would love if it they can make something baseline profitable.
working on my own trading strategies for automated trading as well (coding background) -- so the strategy builder is a nice tool for trying things out quickly, though for complex risk management I kinda gotta write it myself (so far)
