Can you enter a trade in community edition?

I am repeatedly getting an error that the license doesn't support actual orders being entered but I have read differently elsewhere and it also doesn't denote that as a critical basic feature that it doesn't have as far as I've seen on the license feature list. Which is it?

You can place trades on the sim as far as I know, but not on the connected brokers
