Error Loading Historical Data NQM6

Hi everyone,

I’m currently having trouble connecting market data in MotiveWave and hope someone here can help.

I keep getting the following error:
“Error Historical Data: Market Data Connection Not Available.”

Here’s my setup:

  • I’m trading through the prop firm Lucid Trading
  • Using Rithmic (R | Trader Gateway) as my connection
  • Tried different regions (Europe / Chicago), but still no success
The connection either times out or connects without showing any market data (no live charts).

I already checked:

  • Login credentials (should be correct)
  • Different servers/regions
  • Correct instrument (e.g. ES instead of old contracts)
Still not working.

Has anyone experienced this with Rithmic or a prop firm setup? I use Lucid Trading
Do I need to enable something specific or configure anything differently in MotiveWave?

Any help would be really appreciated!

I connect and trade with Lucid every day.

If you could show some screenshots, or just tell me what options you are selecting at the MW Login screen.

Couple of things:

  • Did you sign the Rithmic user agreement?? I am guessing so since it looks like you were able to login.
  • Did you just manually enter NQM6 and hit enter, or did you select it from the list?? Make sure you select it from the list, I have seen odd instances where just typing in the symbol doesn't link it correctly.
  • You stated you are using the R Trader Gateway as your connection. So I assum you have R Trader open and connected before you login to MW? If so, can you send me screenshots of the R Trader login page?? There are a couple of settings there that need to be correct.
