General Feedback on Motivewave beta 7

Hey,

I was testing the motivewave 7 and I want to give you some feedback about that I see not working as previously
My operating system is arch linux. You can have detail in OS_Screen
1 - TPO and Custom trading hours

In my way of analysing TPO, I have custom hours that start from RTH point of view and end at the begining of the news RTH session. ( Exemple for nasdaq from 8h30 to 8h30 Chicago time ).

It's works like a charm in V6, but in V7, the volume profile and TPO overlaps ( and overlaps more if I put the VP at the righ ).

It's not appening every time. Sometimes and loading, sometines on resizing

2 - Trading hours and refresh data

Look likes that trading hours are not correctly refresh when I change it. I need to close and re-open platform

Repro step :

1. Create custom hours
2. Apply it
3. All studies does not render correcly

3 - Upload template

Unable to update a template.
Repro steps :

1. Create a template for a study
2. Add the study to a chart
3. Try to update the created template
4. click on save button

After this steps, the pop up freeze and I'm unable to close it


Overall I love this new version, more easier to use and better performance in my linux

4 - Lost on refresh

Still using the custom hours.
After a resize of the chart, this happens ( see attachment )

I am running Version 7 software on a Mac, Version 15.3.1 M3 Max Chip

Randomly, my charts will look like the following image after dragging at the bottom to adjust the width. Also, sometimes when dragging the bottom to adjust the width, it will adjust the width of other charts on the console page. Hope that makes sense.

I appreciate the new MotiveWave 7.0 UI improvements and all the new features added!

I’m running it on a MacBook Pro M4 Pro with the Latest MacOS.

Few Issues that I’m also experiencing so far:

Range Bar Chat -

• Wasn’t printing properly but seems to work fine after Performing “Clear Local Data”. I find myself having to do this occasionally.
• I noticed that the current Range Bar estimate indicator no longer appears on the chart, even though I have checked the “Show Range Outline” option in the chart settings.

Support and Resistance drawing Tool:

• seems to get stuck at a certain point when try to adjust it. (Height and width)

Guys before I install, can someone please confirm the workspaces work exactly the same? I.e I want to preserve my existing workspaces, and experiment with the new capabilities in a separate workspace - will I be able to do that?

You need to backup sp yuo can revert.

I understand that. But if let’s say I had three different workspaces - i can convert them one by one and still have these three workspaces, correct?

Hope this helps and maybe someone else can also share their experiences with their Workplace just to gain a different perspective.

My Experience with Workplace:
1. After updating to of 7.0 and opened my workplace (Same from 6.9.12), things looked different (like opening a fresh start) even though I open the exact same workplace.
2. I had to perform a Backup restore and then everything seemed fine (workspace wise)

I still have my last previous Backup from the 6.9.12 saved just in case I need to go back again to the old version.

I have tried the 7b1, imported the backup from 6.9.12. I played with the version for awhile. Even though I see improvements in the UI, making it "modern", I found enough glitches to stay out of it until it becomes an official version and I did not even dig deep enough.

Getting this bug a lot. Did anybody find a workaround or quickfix? It's a bit random, sometimes I have to restart MW to fix it.

Report to MW support. This is a b1 release. They put it out for that reason.

Anyone else seeing DOM freezing up in high volatility? Trying to trade ES on rithmic and it's close to unusable. Around 8:51 am Central, there were couple of 500-contract market buys that caused this. Hope it's something that can be easily fixed, and not rithmic webAPI issue

EDIT: 9am news even worse, price is disappearing from the screen, DOM and footprint not repainting

I wish they allowed a second instance under one license during the Beta.

I'm very reluctant to trade of a Beta version. Still would be nice to familiarize oneself with the new version.

I don’t Use the DOM but I do use The order HeatMap and my whole Chart did froze during the 10am News activity.
I would recommend to also send all feedback to MW Support team if you haven’t already.

I already emailed them and gave them detailed info and videos, but they have yet to update me. I'll update here if I get an answer.

Yep, beta not counting towards max open instances should’ve been an easy change to the license manager
