Hi Guys,

I saw we have a new indicator called cloud levels that allows us to import price levels rather quickly into our charts. I've never used Bookmap or Investor R/T and when I looked at their sites to try and figure out how to setup my CSV file to import the price levels correctly I couldn't really figure it out.

Is there a tutorial or picture of what the csv file should look like in order to import my own price levels?

I've been trying to do some research, and I think the issue is with how Motivewave is looking for the name of the instrument and how I am labeling it in the CSV file.

Is there a special naming nomenclature that Motivewave is using in the background for a CQG connection through AMP Futures?

I tried to copy/paste the example cloud levels that bookmap uses and updated the symbol month with and without the automap feature as well as what looks like Motivewave is using as an AMP Futures naming structure but all I get is this error: 19:15:00 SEVERE Cloud Levels: No matching symbol: EN

EDIT: I got ES Futures to work, but for some reason NQ futures won't.

Figured out how to get NQ futures to work. For some reason typing in the name for the contract didn't work, but when I copied in the name from the instrument search field in motivewave it worked perfect, which was odd because I had it typed in the same exact way.

Either way, im glad to get this to work, itll be saving me tons of time from having to manually update 20 or so price levels on multiple instruments everyday

Hi Omega,

The Cloud Levels study is meant for education subscription providers right now. A quick CSV format that will work is:
Symbol, Price Level (middle price), Note, Foreground Color (hex color), Background Color (hex color), Diameter (full height of profile in ticks, will be centered on the Price Level value. Use odd numbers here).

Use a header row in the CSV with those titles, excluding the text in the brackets. Symbol will need to be the symbol in your workspace Eg. your native broker symbology (ESZ0 or EPZ20).

Regards.

Hi Jason,

Thanks, I was able to finally get it to work. But it seems there are a couple bugs in the code.

Here is a picture I have of two different prices, one on NQ, one on ES, and both have one extra line in the diameter than what I had put in the csv file. Also, I noticed that when I click the checkbox to suppress labels, it doesn't really work. The note "CP" on both these prices only ever goes away if I suppress the price as well.

Still Cloud Levels don't work as I expected. Hope to MW dev team fix this study in the next update

Hi,

Very nice.

would it be possible to modify the studie so that we can use multiple columns instead of just one in the CSV?

regards
