I am just curious if anyone here has any experience with linking MotiveWave to any "Trade Journaling" software??

We all know the trade reports screen on MW is pretty basic, so I was looking for something else to help me track my stats, etc.

Tradervue, Tradersync and Tradesviz all claim to work with MW - Has anyone actually done this with any success?? Perhaps there is something better I left off the list.

Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have found Rithmic Rtrader to do the job the best. You can customize the export to what you need to have exported. That's if you use MW with rithmic.

I have done it in the past with Tradersync.

Hello,
I have not personally linked Motive Wave to trade journaling software, but I have heard that Tradervue, Tradersync, and Tradesviz do support integration with MW. Many traders find these tools helpful for tracking stats and analyzing performance. If you're looking for firsthand experiences, it might be worth trying out the free versions of these tools to see which one works best for your needs. Feedback from other users on forums or reviews could also provide additional insights.

Thanks

I am using Rithmic - So are you saying that it is better to get the "Export" or data from Rithmic rather than MW?? Once I have that data I could then use one of these programs?? That would make total sense.

Thank you :)

Yes, I used Tradersync with rtrader. Customize "Recent orders" and save it as a template than just export a CSV and import to your journaling software. Since you can customize the export to your liking it should work with any journaling software that accepts csv files.

Ahh good to know - Thanks for the tip ;)

Btw it is "Order History" you customize not "Recent Orders" and save as a template in Rtrader so you just need to do it once.

I use Tradesviz but I download everything from my broker and use it more for equities than futures. Never tried it from the platform itself since my broker doesn't connect to MW.

Ive used Tradesviz and Tradezella. Both are good, Tradesviz does allow auto-import from Rithmic which for me was a big plus for prop and live accounts. I found Tradesviz had more customization, sometimes too many options. Tradezella looks better and seemed to run better on my system.

I did hear from Tradezella that they will be adding Rithmic auto-import in the next “few weeks”….so hopefully it won’t take too long.
