Create a custom signal for footprint chart

Can anyone help me create a custom alert where when chart shows certain % such as 200% on the footprint, it creates an alert?

Percentage of what?

Alerts attached to a horizontal price level require an absolute value (the price level).
Alerts attached to a trend line use the price level of the trend line at the point trend line is crossed.

What might work is to create a moving average (20-bar, 50-bar, etc), and then in the signals tab of that MA enable "show alert" for when price crosses the MA curve. If you select the 200-bar MA it would only alert you for the largest moves (eg. that reach the 200-bar MA).

Ah, understood. Volume Imprint (Footprint) has a signals tab as well, but not sure if any of the signals there have what you're looking for.

I tried to do the same thing and found it was not possible to do this... I had Daniel from Trading Indicators edit the code for me for this specific reason....

Are you running the Professional Version of MW by any chance?

Yes i have the professional version. I've looked inside out the web and like you stated, seems not possible. Not even possivvle for Sierra Charts or Ninjatrader.

I would be willing to share what Daniel made for me with you - It requires the professional version for it to be able to work (Which is why I asked).

It can create an alert / signal based on the imbalance study just like you were looking for.... I am not surer if you can combine it with a particular price however. It might be something that could be put together with the advanced alerts though.

How do you like that alert? Do you use it often? Wondering if that can be combined within a range of price like a zone or something like that? hmmm.
