Missing the original Setting to Enable/Disable Show Ruler?

Hello,
I accidentally posted this in the mac section, but realize it is across platforms.
The setting to make the ruler tool remain visible after clicking elsewhere seems to have been removed from version 7?
Perhaps I am missing the new location, but I still need a way to draw a ruler type line on the chart, showing the difference in ticks or price between the two locations.
Can this be done, or is this feature for some reason removed in Version 7?
Thank you,
Mike

For me the ruler already remains visible after I click outside of it, which I think is annoying, I have to switch back to the Drag tool (ctrl + shift + D) each time I use it.
So you're saying you have found a way to disable that behaviour? Would love to know how.

Same here, super annoying compared to v6. Would love to know if there's a way around it or if it was fixed (I rolled back to v6).

Hello MotiveWave,
The Windows version has a checkbox to prevent the ruler from disappearing.
The Mac Version still lacks this checkbox (I believe).
Can this be fixed please.
The goal is to be able to leave a small text box on the lines showing the distance in points or ticks.
Thus I can measure the outcome of the trades without having to click on lines or clutter the workspace with too much data.
Thank you,
Mike
