I'm feeling pretty dumb here, but can't seem to find a simple tool that I can drag from Point A to Point B, that will show me a point/tick/$ amount between the 2 points.

A point in the right direction would be appreciated.

Use the Ruler from the Tool Bar/Drop Down (beside the Zoom Icon) or use the short cut (Ctrl + Shift + U)

Yeah, I've tried it.. it doesn't show $$ difference and disappears from screen once I release mouse button. Probably somewhere there is a way to configure the thing, but so far have not stumbled across it. I'll keep looking, thanks for your response.

The ruler will not show you the dollar amount, but you can get it to "stick" by toggling this box
