Release Notes state:

Alerts & Study Signals – To improve startup performance, study and component-based alerts and signals are no longer loaded at startup. They will now load on demand once an instrument's chart is open and historical data has been loaded. Important: If you rely on these alerts or signals, ensure you have an active chart open with historical data loaded for the relevant instrument.

Can someone clarify... does this mean that the usual standard alerts based on price will NOT work unless the chart for that instrument has been opened? Because if so, that it basically means I can never upgrade above 7.0.20.

As it stands, one of the most frustrating things about going from TradingView to any other platform, is that most platforms don't have a server-side based alerts. Settings alerts on trendlines, key levels, horizontals lines and basically "setting and forgetting" is such a convenience. Especially when TradingView can send the alert to phone app, email, or text message (or Webhook) if you're into that.

Its incredibly unfortunate that Motivewave does not support this UNLESS chart has been previously opened. Well, I'm sorry to say, I can't look at NKE chart every single day to see if the major trendline from all time high has been broken.
