Anyone know how to recreate this VP chart?

Hi folks,

I'm new to MW and trying to recreate this TradingView chart.
It is showing 1H bars, with the VP going from session open (6pm) to the next session open.

I have played around with the VP in MW and it just seems to show 1 VP stuck to the left/right edge of the chart.
Anyone know if its possible to achieve the layout below in MW?

Totally possible to create a chart just like that.

Use the Volume Imprint study rather than the Volume Profile study

The Volume Profile study is really just what you said above: 1 profile on the left or right hand side of the screen.

Hi, thanks for responding.

I did have a play with Volume Imprint, but just cannot seem to make it display anything similar to my screenshot.
Won't the Volume Imprint display a profile per bar? I want a profile per day, but displayed on a 1Hr chart.

The closest I have got so far is this:


But the profiles do not line up with the start of the ETH session.

If you have any pointers that would be great.

You are really close. Just a couple of settings need to be changed.

1) Make sure you are on a 1 hour chart.

2) Insert Volume Imprint and make sure to copy all of these settings... Pay close attention to the ones in the green box.



3) Go all the way over to the "Options" tab and make sure to change this (Green arrow) to "1 Day", you will probably have to uncheck "Use Chart Bar Size".

Also just an FYI - That "Underlay" button (Blue Arrow) will allow you to control if you want the profiles underneath, or on top of the actual candlesticks.




4) Since you are just displaying volume profiles, most of those tabs will not apply to you. You can tweak how the profile looks under the "Profile" and "Display" tabs.

5) It looks like you might have already gotten this figured out - To change the background a different color during different hours. "Study -> Overlays -> Timeframe". You can add 2 or 3 instances of that study if needed.
